PR Log (Press Release) –
Dec 14, 2009 – Clare and Duncan Edwards are celebrating two national awards. They were amongst a handful of social entrepreneurs across the country to win one of the prestigious UnLtd Level 2 Awards of £15,000 to help them grow and expand their social business. They have also been awarded an Independent Living Design award by the British Healthcare Trades Association for their new product, Trabasack.
Clare Edwards came up with the ingenious idea of the Trabasack after experiencing difficulty eating whilst in restaurants. Clare says “The Trabasack lap tray and travel bag helps to improve social inclusion for wheelchair users and anyone with reduced mobility. Wheelchair users often struggle to find the right height tables when away from home. If they can not reach a table they may spill food and drink down themselves which is embarrassing. Bending and reaching forward can cause back and neck pain and cause digestive problems. The Trabasack provides everyone with a portable level surface for eating and drinking, resting laptops, working, socialising and playing where ever they are. “We are delighted to receive a Level 2 Award from UnLtd and the support which goes with it. So far we have sold over 400 products are our target is to sell 3000 within the next year.”
Jonathan Jenkins, Director of Unltd Ventures said “ This is a really simple idea which tackles a real social problem which goes unnoticed by able bodied people. I am delighted we have been able to support Duncan and Clare. This product can help many thousands of people across the country.”
Clare and Duncan received the BTHA design award from Angela Rippon and wheelchair athlete Ade Adepitan at the Hotel Russel, London. They will receive their Unltd award at a national ceremony held on 14th January in London at the Hoxton Apprentice.

Plus Size Fashion Adventures in Paris
PR Log (Press Release) –
Dec 09, 2009 – Fashion-savvy plus size women can now shop for fabulous clothes in the City of Love and Light. Up until now everyone believed that Paris is the thin-person fashion capital of the world, and have seen the models on the catwalks of Paris, London and New York. A well-kept secret is that there are beautiful plus size clothes available too -- right in fashion paradise -- in Paris, France.
The next annual Plus Size Fashion Adventure hosted by Teena Hughes is from 20-27th June 2010. Visitors to Teena's website commented that there didn't seem to be any truly fashionable clothes for plus-size women and girls in Paris - so Teena decided to share her plus-size fashion secrets with them.
Many designers create large clothing in black, brown and navy, and expect plus size and voluptuous women to be happy with mediocre design. By being part of the Plus Size Fashion Adventure, women can finally feel and look fabulous, stunning, gorgeous - wearing designs that flatter and fit.
